My name is Temitope Awofeso and I am from Nigeria (Lagos). I am currently a student Pharmacist at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy

I am a member of Pharmacist For Africa because it is great to be among a group of Africans around the world who are interested in dealing with the healthcare crisis in Africa

I am a member because I like the fact that other African health care professionals are combining forces with us, African Pharmacists (and soon-to-be Pharmacists), to help improve the health care conditions in Africa. 

I am also a member because I know that we are going to make a positive impact on Africa.

To paraphrase what was said on the website: Only we Africans can help Africa because only we understand what the situation in Africa is like. However, we also need the support of our friends and colleagues. One thing has to be said though, unless most of the work (brainstorming, planning and implementing the solutions) is done by Africans, the suggested solutions, however good intended, will not work.

In summary, I welcome the support of others, but only we Africans can help Africa and it is indeed an honour to be a part of Pharmacist For Africa

With all that being said, I know that with the help of God, we can achieve our goal of helping Africa become what it should be.
